The Editorial Office of Joining and Corrosion Protection (JCP) welcomes applications from researchers, engineers, and academic professionals interested in contributing to the development of an international scholarly journal in the fields of joining technologies, welding, corrosion science, corrosion protection, surface engineering, and related materials engineering disciplines.

Deputy Editor
The Editorial Office of Joining and Corrosion Protection (JCP) invites established researchers to serve as Deputy Editors.
Deputy Editors play a key role in maintaining the scientific quality and integrity of the journal. Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors, Deputy Editors provide independent academic evaluation and final publication recommendations based on peer-review reports and manuscript revisions.
Responsibilities
- Review peer-review reports and revised manuscripts;
- Assess scientific quality, novelty, and relevance;
- Provide final editorial recommendations;
- Advise on journal development and editorial policies;
- Support the recruitment of reviewers and Editorial Board members when appropriate.
Qualifications
Applicants should normally:
- Hold a PhD or equivalent research degree;
- Have an established publication record in joining technologies, welding, corrosion science, corrosion protection, surface engineering, or related fields;
- Demonstrate recognized expertise within their research community;
- Have prior editorial, reviewing, or academic leadership experience.

Associate Editor
JCP welcomes applications from active researchers interested in serving as Associate Editors.
Associate Editors are responsible for the initial academic assessment of manuscripts and the coordination of the peer-review process within their areas of expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial academic screening of submissions;
- Evaluate manuscript suitability and scope;
- Recommend and invite qualified reviewers;
- Monitor peer-review progress;
- Provide preliminary editorial recommendations based on reviewer reports.
Final publication recommendations are reviewed by the Deputy Editor and Editor-in-Chief.
Qualifications

- Hold a PhD degree or equivalent;

- Have expertise relevant to the journal scope;
- Demonstrate commitment to scholarly publishing and peer review.

Editorial Board Member

Editorial Board Members play an important role in maintaining the scientific quality of the journal by supporting peer review, advising on journal development, and promoting the journal within the international research community.
Responsibilities
Editorial Board Members may be invited to:

Early Career Editorial Board Member
JCP is committed to supporting the next generation of researchers and academic leaders.
The Early Career Editorial Board (ECEB) provides an opportunity for outstanding early-career researchers to gain editorial experience while contributing to the development of an international scholarly journal.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants should normally:
- Hold a PhD degree (or be close to completion);
- Be within approximately 10 years of receiving their highest degree;
- Maintain an active research profile;
- Demonstrate interest in peer review, scholarly publishing, and academic service;
- Have expertise relevant to the journal's scope.
Applications from postdoctoral researchers, assistant professors, lecturers, research scientists, and early-stage industry researchers are particularly encouraged.
Responsibilities
Early Career Editorial Board Members may:
- Participate in peer review activities under editorial guidance;
- Assist in identifying qualified reviewers;
